ABOUT US

Early Childhood Discovery Centers, Inc. (ECDC) is a Nationally-accredited childcare organization with two daycare centers in Selma: Early Childhood Discovery Center at 1740 E. Front Street in downtown Selma and The Herron House Preschool Center located at 3650 McCall.  We have a sister organization called Opportunity Through Education, Inc. which owns two preschools located on the campuses of Jackson Elementary and Wilson Elementary in Selma.  Both organizations believe in the power of early education to give children their best opportunity for success in school and in life.  Dominique Herron is the Program Director for both organizations.  As a former elementary school teacher, she knows what young children need to be successful in elementary school and has developed a program and teaching philosophy to help them gain the social and emotional skills and academics necessary for success in school and life.  She is assisted by her husband Ken Herron, a retired banker who handles business and financial matters for both organizations.  Gianna Pritchett is Assistant Director.  We are blessed to have a wonderful team of early learning professionals working at all four childcare sites – their love for children and desire to help maximize every child’s potential are the reasons for our success!
